History

In 1921, Nemef was founded as the 'Dutch Furniture Locks Factory'. At the time, they supplied locks for furniture makers in the Apeldoorn region. From 1924 they also started producing house door locks. In the middle of the last century, Nemef grew into an original Dutch A-brand. The range was further expanded with high-quality cylinders, multi-point locks, door fittings and innovative smart lock systems. In 2021, Nemef was incorporated into the global Yale brand and became part of the ASSA ABLOY Group.
