Many windows are equipped with a standard window handle. This window handle is necessarily on it, because it allows you to open and close the window. You can choose to replace your window handle. This is possible, for example, if you do not like the standard window handle or do not think it matches the interior. Nowadays there are beautiful window handles for sale in all kinds of designs, colors and materials that suit your interior. But you may also need to better secure the window. Sometimes an insurer also wishes this. In this case you can opt for a lockable window handle.
The most important feature of a lockable window handle is that there is a lock in the handle itself. When the window is closed, you can use this to lock the window handle. If you want to open the window again, you will first have to open the lock. The window is therefore optimally secured. Naturally, a window handle operates the bolts that ensure that the window is properly closed, but with the lock you also add extra security to the window. This means that unauthorized persons can never open the window without using a key. A window handle that can be locked is also a good child lock.
Even if you have a properly functioning window handle on the window, you may still consider installing a lockable window handle for safety reasons. If this is the case, take a look at Door Hardware Expert. We supply a large number of different types of window handles in many designs and made of different materials. The fact that there is a lock in the window handle provides a greater sense of security and we are happy to contribute to this with our lockable window handles and excellent service.
