Want to buy built-in hinges?

At Doorgeslag-expert we have a wide range of drilled hinges. Our hinges are available in a variety of sizes and designs.

What are drilled hinges suitable for?

Drilled hinges are only made for rebated doors. Our hinges are available for both steel doors and wooden doors.

What is the difference between a drilled hinge and a normal hinge?

The difference is in the hinge point. Where a standard hinge is mounted with a loose pin, a drill-in hinge has a fixed hinge point. This allows you to easily lift a door that is mounted with a drilled hinge out of the rebate. There are also 'normal' hinges. These are almost identical to normal hinges, but a hinge hinge has two unequal plates.

Can you install a drilled hinge on a front or back door?

The short answer is no! Absolutely not! A drilled hinge has a lower load capacity, and we also have special safety hinges for this. These security hinges have an SKG quality mark, which also makes them burglar-proof!
