About Hermata

Hermeta supplies a wide range of products in construction and interior design. Quality, craftsmanship, sustainability and functional design are central. Hermeta produces high-quality products and innovative solutions from its own production location in the Netherlands, such as curtain walls, acoustic lockers, smart furnishings for company changing rooms and swimming pools, contemporary furnishings for schools, sustainable hooks and Gardelux ® wardrobes.

Every day a coat is hung on our hook or hanger, someone walks up the stairs past our handrail holder, someone changes in a changing room that we have set up or someone enjoys a view through our wind- and waterproof facades. Users of Hermeta products consciously or unconsciously experience the quality, comfort, design and functional convenience of our products. Beautiful products make happy people. Together with our customers, we want to make the users of Hermeta's sustainable products happy. We do this by thinking along with our customers, developing interesting concepts together, offering good service and working together to achieve the best results.

The roots of Hermeta company are in Germany. The German Thamer family fled to Rotterdam in the 1920s due to the economic crisis to start a metalworking company there. During the war, the entire company came into the hands of the Dutch State, which sold it. After the war, the Thamer family was reinstated and became 50% owner of the company again. They settled in Asperen. The production of our construction and furniture fittings still takes place in Asperen. In the 1960s, the Interior Construction and Facade Construction divisions were added to the Hermeta Group.

Aluminum is a light metal and the addition of alloying elements makes it also a strong metal. The aluminum alloys, including Hermeta's own L45, that Hermeta uses are optimal for creating a beautiful and strong product with a lot of freedom of shape. Aluminum products last a long time. Hermeta even guarantees that its products remain 100% corrosion-free for life. If the product is discarded, the aluminum can be reused by Hermeta. This makes it an ideal material for a circular world.

Sustainability

Sustainability is an important theme for us and Hermeta. We pay a lot of attention to people and the environment. The products released under the Hermeta Life label contribute to health, safety and accessibility for people in their environment. This also includes paying attention to people's environment, hence the Hermeta Blue label. A sustainable choice of raw materials is central to the products released under the Hermeta Blue label. The aluminum that Hermeta uses for the production of construction and furniture fittings consists of at least 75% recycled aluminum. In addition, Hermeta's building and furniture fittings and wardrobes are Cradle to Cradle Silver certified, we have the FSC and PEFC certificate and we work according to ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.
