What is core pulling protection

Assembly Dieckmann security fitting stool/stool

Handle / stool fittings are mainly used for rear doors, barn doors and gates. The fitting has a handle on the outside and inside that you can use to open the door.

Step 1: First check that you have the correct type with the correct dimensions

• Does the model match what we need for the door, i.e. handle/handle or handle/handle?
• Is the PC size correct (PC 55, PC 72 or PC92)?
• Is the door thickness correct? we have a set for door thicknesses from 37 to 42 mm and a set for door thicknesses from 52 to 57 mm (other thicknesses are available on request by email)
• Is the cylinder length in the door correct? The cylinder must protrude a minimum of 12 mm and a maximum of 17 mm on the outside of the door, and the cylinder must also protrude a minimum of 5 mm and a maximum of 10 mm on the inside of the door (inner shield is 6 mm thick).

Step 2: Actual installation of stool/stool fittings

• The lock is already in the door, if this is not the case, first place the lock and screw it in properly
• Then place the cylinder in the lock, making sure that it protrudes from the door by a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 17 mm and by a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 mm inside the door.
• you screw the cylinder in place with the cylinder bolt
• You take the thin inner shield from the box.
• You put the white nylon ring in the crank hole and then insert the crank through this hole.
• Now insert the square handle pin into the handle hole of the lock and gently slide the shield against the door so that the handle is in place and the cylinder is also through the shield.
• Now mark the 3 screw holes on the door, repeat this on the other side of the door so that you have marked 3 holes on both sides
• You remove the handle with square pin, the cylinder and the lock from the door
• Now drill the holes with a 10 mm drill at the marked locations from both sides to the center (heart) of the door
• You clean the lock hole thoroughly and replace the lock and cylinder. Screw it tight again
• Now slide the core pull rosette on the outside of the door over the cylinder and press it firmly against the cylinder
• Now slide the outer shield with the handle to which the square pin is attached onto the door. The shield slides with the square pin through the lock and over the core pull rosette.
• PLEASE NOTE, this sliding of the outer shield must be easy, it must slide neatly against the door without pushing hard. If this is not easy, look where it is clamping and make sure it has space there so that it can be mounted without clamping.
• Now screw the 6 mm thick inner shield from the inside with the 3 supplied bolts. make sure that you keep it straight, that it does not get stuck and screw it on firmly but firmly.
• then insert the white nylon ring into the crank hole and then push the crank firmly onto it
• You have now come to the point of testing whether the crank and cylinder are working properly. Lower the handle, the latch should now open easily without getting stuck, you also do this with the cylinder, it should turn easily. If it does not work properly, loosen the bolts a little and slide the shields until they work fine and well, then tighten the bolts again
• Now you will screw the stool onto the square spindle using the supplied Allen key. Grasp the handle on the outside of the door with the fixed pin firmly and push it against the door. Now take the loose inner handle and press it firmly against the door and tighten the Allen screw, this prevents any play on the handle
• Double-check that everything is working properly and then you're done
