Installation Hafi Indoor and outdoor door fittings

The hafi door handles are used indoors and outdoors. Officially they are not for outdoor use, although this is done. If you want this, make sure that there is some grease under the stainless steel outer rosette and that the screw hole where the Allen bolt is located to tighten the crank pin is also full of grease. prevent them from rusting. Actual installation of stool/handle fittings

• The lock is already in the door, if this is not the case, first place the lock and screw it in properly
• The box contains a very handy paper template with which you can assemble the fittings
• Now first insert the square handle pin into the handle hole of the lock so that it protrudes from the door on both sides
• You take the template and place it over the square pin
• You now mark the 2 holes on both sides of the door (left and right of the square pin) which you need to drill in the door
• You remove the square pin and the lock from the door
• Now drill the holes with a 7 mm drill at the marked locations from both sides to the center (heart) of the door. Make sure that these holes are exactly horizontal, otherwise your stools will hang crookedly on the door
• You clean the lock hole thoroughly and place the lock and the square pin back in the door. Screw it tight again
• Place the square pin in the middle of the door so that it protrudes equally on both sides
• First check which handle should be on the left and which handle on the right side of the door. These stools are spring-loaded, which means that they can only spring down, so if you turn them upside down they will not work and cannot go down.
• Now slide the crutches onto the square pin.
• PLEASE NOTE, this sliding of the handles must be easy, it must slide neatly against the door without pushing hard. If this is not easy, look where it is clamping and make sure it has space there so that it can be mounted without clamping.
• Now screw the stools together properly using the bolts. make sure that you keep it straight, that it does not get stuck and screw it on firmly but firmly
• You have now come to the point of testing whether the stool is working properly. lower the handle, the latch should now open easily without getting stuck, if it does not work properly, loosen the bolts a little and slide the rosettes until they work fine and well, then tighten the bolts again and repeat this until it is correct. Sometimes you will have to adjust the holes slightly because, for example, they are not drilled straight.
• Now first slide the stainless steel rosettes over the steel base plate
• Now you will screw the stool onto the square spindle using the supplied Allen key. First screw the Allen bolt on the outside of the door properly so that the square pin is secured. Now you will secure the handle on the inside. Tighten the Allen screw properly to prevent play in the crank
