What is core pulling protection

This model is equipped with “core pulling protection”, which prevents manipulation by pulling out the core or breaking off the profile cylinder. The core pulling part is designed in such a way that it can be used on any type of Euro profile cylinder. It has a springy construction so that it is always pushed against the cylinder housing and is therefore not hindered when using the key, regardless of brand.

The German HAFI has been supplying high-quality fittings for doors and windows for many years. Quality and Design come first. M6 bolts that go through the door ensure that the fitting does not slide on the door. Installation Hafi security fitting stool/stool

Handle / stool fittings are mainly used for rear doors, barn doors and gates. The fitting has a handle on the outside and inside that you can use to open the door.

Step 1: First check that you have the correct type with the correct dimensions

• Does the model match what we need for the door, i.e. handle/handle or handle/handle?
• Is the PC size correct (PC 55, PC 72 or PC92)?
• Is the door thickness correct? We have different sets to fit your door size!
• Is the cylinder length in the door correct? The cylinder must protrude a minimum of 10 mm and a maximum of 15 mm on the outside of the door, and the cylinder must also protrude a minimum of 10 mm and a maximum of 15 mm on the inside of the door (inner leaf is 10 mm thick).

Step 2: Actual installation of stool/stool fittings

• The lock is already in the door, if this is not the case, first place the lock and screw it in properly
• Then place the cylinder in the lock, making sure that it protrudes from the door by a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 mm on the inside and outside.
• you screw the cylinder in place with the cylinder bolt
• The box contains a paper template with which you can assemble the fittings
• Now first insert the square handle pin into the handle hole of the lock so that it protrudes from the door on both sides
• You take the template, cut out the cylinder and square pin and place them over the cylinder and the crank pin.
• Now mark the 3 holes on both sides of the door that you need to drill in the door
• You remove the square pin, cylinder and lock from the door
• Now drill the holes with an 11 mm drill at the marked locations from both sides to the center (heart) of the door
• You clean the lock hole thoroughly and replace the lock, square pin and cylinder. Screw it tight again
• Now slide the core pull rosette on the outside of the door over the cylinder and press it firmly against the cylinder
• Now slide the outer shield onto the door with a fixed handle, the shield slides over the square pin and it slides over the core pull rosette.
• PLEASE NOTE, this sliding of the outer shield must be easy, it must slide neatly against the door without pushing hard. If this is not easy, look where it is clamping and make sure it has space there so that it can be mounted without clamping.
• Now screw the inner bottom shield from the inside with the 3 supplied bolts. make sure that you keep it straight, that it does not get stuck and screw it on firmly but firmly.
• Now first slide the stainless steel inner plate over the bottom plate
• then insert the black nylon ring into the crank hole and then push the crank firmly onto it
• You have now come to the point of testing whether the crank and cylinder are working properly. Lower the handle, the latch should now open easily without getting stuck, you also do this with the cylinder, it should turn easily. If it does not work properly, loosen the bolts a little and slide the shields until they work fine and well, then tighten the bolts again, replace the stainless steel inner shield, insert the nylon ring and slide the crank on.
• Now you will screw the stool onto the square spindle using the supplied Allen key. First screw the Allen bolt on the outside of the door (the fixed handle) properly so that the square pin is secured. Now you will secure the loose stool on the inside. Press the handle firmly against the door and tighten the Allen screw, this prevents any play on the handle
• Double-check that everything is working properly and then you're done
